The Libertine is closed.
Another month, another Libertine fried chicken night. Debating whether or not you want to go? Check out July's dinner below and give into temptation.
[symple_highlight color="blue"]Heirloom Tomato Salad[/symple_highlight]
[symple_highlight color="blue"]Cantaloupe Salad[/symple_highlight]: Marinated Eggplant, Ricotta Salata, Apicius Vinaigrette
Eggplant is one of my least favorite foods, but this was really good. I had to ask the waiter what it was, just because I didn't believe it was actually eggplant.
[symple_highlight color="blue"]Buttermilk Biscuits [/symple_highlight]: with Sorghum Butter
[symple_highlight color="blue"]Churn Pickles[/symple_highlight]
These two optional sides are clutch additions to the meal. The biscuits and sorghum butter are fantastic and the house made churn pickles are addictive with their sweet and salty flavor. We also had the new "Libertine Smash": Doublestar Farm Cantaloupe Water, Flor de Cana Rum, Dolin Blanc Vermouth and Backyard Chamomile. Nate Weber is going to bartend my wedding one day, because that guy know what's up.
[symple_highlight color="blue"]Fried Chicken[/symple_highlight]: Spinach Madeleine, Kentucky Stone Ground Grits, and Gravy
When I eat this, I am truly happy.
[symple_highlight color="blue"]White BBQ Sauce[/symple_highlight]: Because chef Josh Poletti is the man.
