United Provisions Opening Party
I was lucky enough to be invited to the United Provisions opening party last week, hosted by Tao + Lee. There was schmoozing, boozing and a constant flow of good eats. The space, now finished and cleaned up since my last post, really is stunning.
Before the party began, sushi chef Hama took the time to carve a Tao + Lee dragon out of ice. No big deal.
I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing it was Hama who also turned the wasabi into roses. What a classy, classy gentleman he is.
Further down the sushi line was this platter of "holy shit" good cured salmon, made by none other than Hama. Is this guy real or is he actually a Terminator sent from the future to feed us well?
Not a sushi fan? No problem. Just head on over to the women holding copious amounts of cured meat.

Then hand-sliced paper thin sheets of Jamon Iberico, which I believe translates to "The most amazing ham you're going to eat".
FRIED CHICKEN. I had 6 of these fancy chicken nuggets. I win .
